About
Professor Geoff Dougherty co-ordinates the Applied Physics and Medical Imaging programs at CSUCI, where he teaches Medical Imaging, Image Processing and Pattern Recognition. He has previously held academic positions in Kuwait, England, Australia, Fiji, Malaysia and Switzerland.
His popular textbook "Digital Image Processing for Medical Applications" was published in 2009 (http://www.cambridge.org/us/catalogue/catalogue.asp?isbn=9780521860857
From August 2009 to January 2010 he was a Fulbright Senior Scholar, based at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, and visited university research groups in New Zealand and Malaysia.
